On Friday, 31 March 2023, the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (FKep UNHAS) welcomed three students from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, the Netherlands to study at the nursing professional practice stage at health care institutions. They would study for approximately three months or until July 2023 at Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo (RSWS) Hospital, Hasanuddin University Hospital (RSP) UNHAS, and Homecare Griya Afiat. The three students are Maxime Nicole Groen, Judith Danielle Kuijers, and Renee Wieggers. Student practice would be guided by a supervisor who could speak English from the field practice and from the FKep UNHAS.
On Monday-Wednesday, April 3-5 2023, the FKep UNHAS also carried out the Introduction of Culture and Language Program (ICLEP) for the three students. This program aimed to equip students with simple Indonesian language skills and introduce the culture and norms that exist in Indonesia, especially those that would later be found in health care institutions. This program was a form of implementation of the collaboration between UNHAS and Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, the Netherlands, which had been implemented since five years ago.
