The Head of the Department of International Relations of Hasanuddin University, Drs. H. Darwis, MA, PhD, hosted a representative from The University of Queensland (UQ) in order to conduct discussions about a double-degree programme as part of the international class at the Department of International Relations. In February 2022, the Department of International Relations established a double degree programme with UQ. The activity started at 09.00 CIT at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
During the visit, Darwis Ph.D. welcomed the arrival of UQ representatives to Hasanuddin University. He hopes that the realisation of the cooperation programme that will be carried out can provide learning experiences for students in developing themselves and their scientific fields through the best educational facilities. This double degree is also expected to provide international exposure for students so that they can have a global outlook. He also added that, with the existing cooperation, this could be a great opportunity for Unhas to expand collaboration.
On the same occasion, UQ representatives expressed their excitement to be able to visit Unhas and meet with students in person. The cooperation that has been established is a form of commitment to achieving the goal of providing the best quality education. According to him, it is very important that universities combine excellence in teaching and research with a commitment to educational development.
