Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Sp.BM(K)., representing the Rector of Unhas, welcomed the delegates from Kaikoukai Healthcare Group, Nagoya, Jepang, discussing the collaboration in the Health sector.
The meeting was established in the Meeting Room of Rector, level 8th, Rectorate Building at 09.20 Centra Indonesian Time on Wednesday (3/8)
On the same occasion, the team led by Mr. Abe Kazuya, General Manager Overseas Human Resources Development Department Kaikoukai Healthcare Group, representing the Director of Kaikoukai (dr. Yamada Tetsuya), conveyed that some collaborations in the Health sector have been established before. Therefore, It is expected to improve collaborations in order to generate innovations in the Health sector.
“With various facilities owned by the Kaikoukai Healthcare Group, it will certainly be a great opportunity for Unhas students to develop their learning practices to improve knowledge,” said Mr. Abe Kazuya.
A lecturer from the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. dr. Irawan Yusuf, Ph.D., also participated in the discussion with Kaikoukai Healthcare Group. He saw this opportunity as a great potential. According to him, together Unhas and partners can establish programs and projects to increase the quality of the health sector, especially for improving the quality of Indonesian health workers in South Sulawesi.
“We have a great chance in this collaboration. After our meeting today, I will contact the stakeholders and discuss further with related study programs, such as nursing and medicine. We want to generate programs to increase students’ knowledge and abilities as prospective health professionals,” explained Prof. dr. Irawan.
The Vice-Rector, Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, enthusiastically welcomed the development of cooperation opportunities with Kaikoukai. He stated his support in providing facilities for students, according to him this program is in line with the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program.
“We hope this program can be implemented with the innovation of digital learning and the best facilities. So then, Unhas and Kaikoukai can work together in increasing the capacity and quality of human resources in the health sector,” explained Prof. Ruslin.
