The Rector of Universitas Hasanuddin, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., established a meeting with the delegation of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, to discuss potential collaboration in various sectors.
The meeting took place in the Rector Meeting room, level 8 of the Rectorate building, Makassar, on Friday (23/09).
The delegation of Mahidol University consists of Prof. Dr. Patcharee Lertrit, M.D., PhD (Dean of the Faculty Mahidol University), Dr. Aung Win Tun (Deputy Dean for International Relations), Ms. Lalita Adulyakittiphaisan (Head of International Affairs, Communication, and Special Missions), dan Mr. Narudol Kongton (Head of Program and Curriculum).
From the Unhas side who attended were the Dean of the Postgraduate School (Prof. dr. Budu, PhD, Sp.M (K), M.MedEd), Director of Partnership (Ansariadi, SKM., M.Sc.PH., PhD), Head of the International Affairs Office (Andi Masytha Irwan, S.Kep.Ns., MAN., PhD), Deputy Postgraduate Deans, and Lecturers within Unhas.
In his remarks, the Rector of Unhas Prof.JJ welcomed the delegation of Mahidol University to Unhas. He said that the expansion of cooperation carried out by Unhas with a number of international universities is a form of Unhas’ commitment to providing educational facilities for students in providing learning experiences and developing international insights.
“Unhas as one of the best universities in Indonesia is required to prepare and produce superior and globally competitive human resources. So it is hoped that the expansion of cooperation in various fields can strengthen the collaboration carried out together, “explained Prof. JJ.
On the same occasion, Prof. Dr. Patcharee Lertrit, M.D., PhD, (Dean of the Faculty Mahidol University) conveyed the purpose and purpose of the meeting with Unhas. He said that the cooperation that has been established for a long time with Unhas has duties and responsibilities in realizing the improvement of human resource quality, especially on this occasion one of which focuses on strengthening postgraduate programs.
“Mahidol University has grown rapidly with the addition of several faculties. In addition to providing studies in various diverse fields, the university also plays an important role in postgraduate education by producing quality experts, researchers, and administrators to support development in various fields of study,” explained Prof. Dr. Patcharee Lertrit.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed several cooperation programs that could be implemented by both parties. The meeting ended successfully at 16.00 WITA.
