On Monday, 24 February 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) hosted Dr. Dennis Vossen, Program Director of International Finance and Accounting at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands. The visit aimed to explore academic collaboration between the two institutions, focusing on curriculum matching for a double degree program in Management and Accounting. The proposed 3+1 double degree scheme would allow students to complete three years at UNHAS and their final year, including thesis writing, at Saxion. Additionally, a five-month student exchange program with a credit transfer mechanism and a tuition fee waiver was also discussed.
The discussion was led by key officials from FEB UNHAS, including Prof. Dr. Mursalim Nohong (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. Andi Aswan, S.E., MBA., M.Phil. (Head of the Management Department), Dr. Wahda, S.E., M.Pd., M.Si. (Secretary of the Management Department), Dr. Syarifuddin Rasyid, SE., M.Si. (Head of the Accounting Department), Prof. Dr. Darmawati, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA (Secretary of the Accounting Department), and Dr. Shinta Dewi Sugiharti Tikson, S.E., M.Mgt. (Head of the International Office FEB). They engaged in an in-depth dialogue with Dr. Vossen to align the academic structure and ensure the programs meet international standards.
This collaboration reflects UNHAS’s commitment to expanding global academic opportunities and fostering student mobility. By establishing a structured double degree and exchange program with Saxion University, UNHAS aims to enhance international exposure for its students and strengthen its position in global education networks.
