The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Hasanuddin University (Fisip Unhas) continues to improve cooperation and international research networks. In October 2022, The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Hasanuddin (Fisip Unhas) received Suso Mourelo as a guest lecturer and researcher. Suso does independent research in the field of culture and teaches at several universities, including the University of Guadalajara (Mexico), Penn State University (United States), and Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain).
During the visit to Makassar, Suso gave a guest lecture on the non-fiction approach to social research, which was attended by undergraduate, master, and doctoral students of Fisip Unhas. Moreover, Suso delivered a lecture on the development of the Ukraine and Russia war crisis with students of the Department of International Relations (IR) Fisip Unhas. Furthermore, Darwis, PhD, as Chair of the IR Department, said that Suso Mourelo will be a guest lecturer in the department next semester in 2023 before becoming a regular lecturer in international and regular classes for European and Asia Pacific studies.
Suso Mourelo was welcomed by Dr. Phil. Sukri, M.Si., as the Dean of Fisip Unhas, and Prof. Dr. Suparman, M.Si., as the Vice Dean for Partnership, Research, and Innovation, in the meeting room of the Dean of Fisip Unhas to discuss the multidisciplinary research plan. This research also involves Dr. Amrullah, MA, from historical studies; Dr. Azmi Mir’ah Zakiah, Sp.THT-KL, from medical studies; and Andi Ahmad Yani, M.Si., MPA, M.Sc., from public administration studies.
