The International Office of Universitas Hasanuddin conducted Internasional Culture Program (ICP) 2022 with the theme “Maritime Culture in South Sulawesi, Indonesia”. The opening ceremony occurred at LP2M Hall, Tamalanrea Campus, at 08.30 WITA on Tuesday (13/09).
To begin with, The Vice-Rector for Partnership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Business, Prof. Dr. Eng. Adi Maulana, S.T., M.Phil., warmly welcomed the 37 participants of Unhas ICP 2022. He said this ICP 2022 was the first ICP conducted offline since the Pandemic struck in 2019. Moreover, Prof. Adi also gave a brief overview of Universitas Hasanuddin and the agendas of ICP 2022.
The event was officially opened by the Rector of Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. In his speech, Prof. JJ also conveyed his happiness and said that the participants were lucky to join this program to learn more about Unhas.
“Through ICP, the participants will enrich their knowledge and insight about various cultures in South Sulawesi. They will be introduced in general to Unhas and we hope that after participating in this activity, there will be good stories to share when returning to their respective countries,” explained Prof. JJ.
After the official remarks, it was then continued with the introduction of the Unhas Campus by the Head of the International Affairs Office (Andi Masyita Irwan, S.Kep., Ns. PhD). In his presentation, he explained the various performance achievements, facilities and infrastructure and academic development of Unhas.
The number of participants involved was 37 participants from 21 countries such as Australia, Kyrgyz Republic, Myanmar, Tanzania, China, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Nepal, Afghanistan, Philippines, Panama, Palestine, Malaysia, Yaman, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Sudan, Jordan, and Pakistan.
According to the schedule, ICP Unhas 2021 will last until Saturday (17/09) with several agendas that have been prepared.
