Join us for the launch of Knowledge Products generated through the Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE) program.
The RISE program utilizes a water-sensitive cities (WSC) approach, including nature-based solutions, to deliver urban services, improve city functioning and livability, strengthen ecosystem servicing, and transform urban health and well-being.
Join us to learn more about the rationale for this approach and how it can complement conventional grey infrastructure approaches. Learn about the key principles of community co-design and the technical components of a WSC approach, and how this can come together with the ambition to deliver on the SDGs in an integrated and transformational way and ensure no one is left behind.
Working closely with city governments, communities and a research consortium led by Monash University, the Knowledge and Technical Assistance (KSTA) has been financed through ADB’s Urban Climate Change Resilience Trust Fund (UCCRTF) for Makassar, Indonesia, and through the Urban Environmental Infrastructure Fund (UEIF) for Suva, Fiji.
