In his explanation, oral cancer is the 6th cancer based on world events, 90% of which are Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), and the 5-year survival rate is <50% in advanced cases. Oral cancer incidence by location in Japan was reported for the tongue, followed by the gingiva. Clinically, gingival SCC exhibited various pathological conditions, and was misdiagnosed as periodontitis. Adjacent teeth were extracted, and gingival curettage transitioned into advanced cancer with invasion of the jawbone. The guest lecture activities ran smoothly guided by drg. Karima Kurnia Mansjur, Ph.D (Lecturer staff at the Department of Orthodontics FKG Unhas) and attended by hundreds of participants.
