International Students Visit Marine Science Laboratories at Hasanuddin University

The Language Service Center (UPT Layanan Bahasa) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) is currently conducting Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA) or Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers for the 2025–2026 recipients of the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) or Partnership of Developing Countries Scholarship. The program involves seven international students from various countries, including Bangladesh, Somalia, Liberia, Tanzania, Uganda, Pakistan, and Nigeria.

As part of their faculty introduction activities at UNHAS, the students visited the Marine Microbiology Laboratory and the Marine Ecosystem Breeding and Rehabilitation Laboratory at the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP) on Wednesday, November 4, 2025.

During the visit, the students received an explanation about the available laboratory facilities and the research outputs produced by the faculty. The presentations were delivered by the Head of the Laboratory, Dr. Ir. Syafiuddin, M.Si., along with laboratory staff Huyyirnah, S.P., M.P., and Sitti Normawati, S.Pi., M.Si.

The visit was also attended by the Secretary of the FIKP Quality Assurance Group (GPM), Dr. Yayu Lanafie, M.Sc., the Head of Administration, Heads of Subdivisions, and several staff members from the UNHAS Language Center.
