The International Office in collaboration with the Academic and Student Affairs of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) held a sharing session on the Independent Learning Campus Program (Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka, MBKM in short), Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2023. This activity took place in the Senate Room, Floor 2 Rectorate Building, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Monday, February 6, 2023.
The activity was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM(K). In his remarks, Prof. Ruslin said the socialization was carried out early on with the hope that UNHAS students could obtain and understand well related to the IISMA program which is a part of MBKM.
After officially opening, it was then followed by a session of presentations from the speakers. On this occasion, the Head of the IISMA Program, Dr. Rachmat Sriwijaya explained that IISMA is an MBKM program with a scholarship scheme to finance Indonesian students in a one-semester mobility program at leading universities and industries abroad. Through two schemes for undergraduate and vocational program students, the IISMA program can increase Indonesian students’ understanding of international academic and cultural diversity. The IISMA program provides the benefits of studying at the world’s best universities, recognition of up to 20 credits, studying subjects of interest, and learning and experiencing new cultures to develop international networks.
