In order to implement the Higher Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI) Core 1: Goals and Strategy Meetings program, the International Office facilitated a meeting of HEPI (Jimmy Cervin) with the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Academic Director, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of each Faculty, Language Center, and also English course lecturers. This meeting discussed the university’s proficiency metrics, curriculum, benchmarking, and opportunities to collaborate will help to inform HEPI on how to best develop strategies to support the goals of HEPI in ESL.
Then the next agenda, HEPI representative, Jimmy Cervin, visited the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, including learning buildings, offices, laboratories, and other educational facilities. The visit lasted for 2 hours until 12 pm. Jimmy was accompanied by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Secretary of the International Office.
The last agenda was a discussion between Jimmy Carvin and the International Office about the FY2023 HEPI Core 1 (Curricular Innovation) Workplan and discuss the goals and strategies of this core area to gather feedback and identify areas of the work plan that will assist the university in the areas of Curricular Innovation outlined in the MOU.
