Embassy of Indonesia for Portugal in Lisbon facilitated a meeting between Hasanuddin University and the University of Lisbon (UL) on Tuesday (15/11). In this session, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNHAS, Prof. Muhammad Ruslin, had a fruitful discussion with the Vice Rector for International Mobility of UL, Prof. Luís Manuel Soares dos Santos Castro.
This meeting represented the first contact in exploring potential cooperation, such as exchange of postgraduate students, lecturers, and researchers. It is indeed a superb opportunity to establish a higher-education network with universities in Portugal.
Ambassador of Indonesia, H.E. Rudy Alfonso, highlighted the importance of this partnership since it will encourage more Indonesian students to study in Portugal. This is also in line with the hope of the Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education of Portugal, Elvira Fortunato, in which she conveyed it at the Indonesian Diplomatic Reception.
