The Faculty of Medicine (FK), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), has officially established a partnership with the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center (NCVC), Osaka, Japan, in the fields of medical research and education. This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at UNHAS Hotel & Convention 24 February 2025, Makassar. This milestone strengthens international cooperation, particularly in research related to neurological and brain diseases.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. dr. Haerani Rasyid, M.Kes., Sp.GK., Sp.PD-KGH(K), FINASIM, (Dean of FK), along with faculty leaders, including Dr. dr. Andi Alfian Zainuddin, MKM. (Vice Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation, and Alumni), and Prof. Dr. dr. Rina Masadah, M.Phil., Sp.PA(K), DFM, (Vice Dean for Publication, Community Engagement, and International Affairs). The event also welcomed lecturers and residents from the Neurology Study Program.

From NCVC Japan, the event was attended by Prof. Masafumi Ihara, MD, PhD, FACP, FAHA, Director of the Department of Neurology, along with his team, including Eriko Yamaguchi, MD, Shuichi Tonomura, MD, and Abe Sakurako, MD, all renowned experts in the field of neurology.
