Hasanuddin University won the “2nd Best” Indonesia’s SDGs Action Awards 2022, organised by the Ministry of National Development Planning / National Development Planning Agency (Ministry of PPN / Bappenas) at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Annual Conference 2022. The Minister of Bappenas, Dr. Suharso Monoarfa, directly handed over the award to the Vice-Rector for Partnership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business of UNHAS (Prof. Dr. Eng. Adi Maulana, ST., M.Phil) representing the Rector of UNHAS. SDGs Annual Conference 2022, with the theme “Encouraging Real Action on Green Economy Transformation to Achieve SDGs” took place in Jakarta on December 1-2, 2022.
At the event, Prof. Dr. Adi Maulana said that the SDGs action awards are given to the universities that are highly committed to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. UNHAS continues to be a pioneer in implementation. UNHAS would mainstream SDG programs to all units within UNHAS such as the green campus program, net zero-emission, renewable energy, waste management, and gender quality are some of the programs.
