Faculty of Nursing UNHAS and Yokohama City University, Japan Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration

The Faculty of Nursing (FKep), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) welcomed a delegation of lecturers from Yokohama City University (YCU), Japan on Tuesday, 5 August 2025. The visiting team comprising Prof. Nao Tamai, R.N., PHN., Ph.D.; Kana Suzuki, Ph.D.; and Yayoi Shoji, R.N., MHS was officially received by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si. She was accompanied by the Vice Deans: Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D.; Dr. Erfina, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.; and Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., as well as the Head of UNHAS International Office, Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep., Ns., MAN., Ph.D., and several researchers from thematic research groups.

The visit aimed to explore other opportunities for collaboration, building upon existing academic exchanges such as joint research, student exchanges, and online programs for undergraduate students. During the meeting, Syahrul, Ph.D., presented the current international undergraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Nursing and invited YCU students to participate in several upcoming exchange programs. Dr. Takdir highlighted the faculty’s thematic research groups and expressed hope for expanded research collaborations with YCU lecturers in the future.

Representing YCU, Kana Suzuki, Ph.D., Yayoi Shoji, and Prof. Nao Tamai introduced the Faculty of Nursing at Yokohama City University, along with its research groups and areas of expertise. They expressed hope for future joint research collaborations with FKep UNHAS.
