On April 2, 2023, two lecturers of the Faculty of Nursing of Hasanuddin University (FKep UNHAS), Syahrul, Ph.D and Andi Masyitha Irwan, Ph.D presented their papers at the International Scientific Conference on Nursing in Manila, Philippines. Dr. Masyitha shared her research paper entitled “Health Coaching Intervention to Improve Self-Care Management of Hypertension among Older People In Indonesia: A Randomized Controlled Study Protocol. “Dr. Syahrul presented his research entitled “Development of Self-care Practice Components among Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients in Indonesia.”

The international conference was a part of the 75th College of Nursing University of The Philippines (UPCN), Manila’s founding anniversary. This conference was attended by alumni of UPCN, which spread across the globe, including Dr. Masyitha, who finished her master’s degree in Nursing at UPCN in 2012. In addition to the Philippines participants, other researchers from the USA, Japan, and Indonesia attended the event. The visit to Manila was not only to present research at the international conference but also to join international working groups initiated by UPCN, where UNHAS intends to participate in the future.
