Faculty of Dentistry UNHAS Welcoming Prof. Dr. Nor Adinar Binti Baharuddin from University of Malaya

Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) proudly welcomed Prof. Dr. Nor Adinar Binti Baharuddin from Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia who visited the faculty from 11 – 28 November 2025 as part of an academic collaboration and knowledge sharing initiative through a guest lecture program.

During her visit, Prof. Nor Adinar delivered a series of insightful lectures to undergraduate students and periodontia residents. Her sessions provided valuable perspective on the latest developments in Dentistry, particularly in the field of periodontology. The guest lecture topics are Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry: Past, Present, and Future; Current Concepts of Management of Periodontal Disease; Saliva as an Optimal Biological Fluid; and Periodontitis is Rampant: Can a Questionnaire Curb it? In addition, the program also included case discussion sessions, clinical observations, and hospital visits. These sessions aimed to enrich the overall academic experience and knowledge in clinical practices.

This visit was expected as an opportunity to strengthen the academic collaboration and international cooperation between UNHAS and UM. It is also a valuable experience for both undergraduate students and periodontia residents of the Faculty of Dentistry to learn directly from a respected international expert. Faculty of Dentistry UNHAS extends its appreciation to Prof. Dr. Nor Adinar Binti Baharuddin for her valuable contributions throughout her visit.
