Eleven Universitas Hasanuddin students have completed the SUIJI (Six Universities Indonesia Japan Initiative) student exchange program. In 2022, Universitas Hasaunuddin sent eleven students with one accompanying lecturer to carry out various work programs for two weeks, in Japan. The students lived in five locations or villages managed by Ehime University and one location each by Kochi University and Kagawa University along with students from five other universities for 2 weeks.
