One of the lecturers of Forest Conservation Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University, Arida Fauziyah, S.Si., M.Sc. attended the Ocean of Opportunities River of Ideas (OORI) activity organized by the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) and Nairobi Convention. The activity took place at the Boardwalk Convention Center, Port Elizabeth, South Africa for one week from October 9 to 15, 2022.
Ocean of Opportunities River of Ideas is an Oceans and Lakes Master Program alumni networking event, with the theme “Reinforcing alumni networks from the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region: How to go beyond borders and influence international collaboration and knowledge exchange as a change agent?”. The OORI event was part of the special session of the 12th Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) International Symposium, 2022. Members and associates of the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) from all over the world were present.
Arida Fauziyah, S.Si., M.Sc. as a representative of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University and part of the OORI expert team on this occasion presented the collaboration plan of the Faculty of Forestry, Hasanuddin University with the Oceans and Lakes Master Program for capacity building activities in 2023.
