FEB UNHAS Co-Hosts ICAME-X with MSU Malaysia: 400 Authors Join a Shared Mission

Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) and Management & Science University (MSU) successfully held the 10th International Conference on Accounting, Management, and Economics (ICAME-X) from 20 to 21 November 2025. The two-day event featured plenary sessions and parallel presentations under the theme “Trade Wars, Governance, and Blue-Green Economy: Pathways to Sustainability.”

ICAME-X Chairperson Rianda Ridho Hafizh Thaha, MBA, emphasized that this year’s co-hosting with MSU aims to strengthen academic collaboration. More than 400 authors participated, presenting papers for potential publication in international indexed journals and proceedings.

The conference opened at MSU with greetings from MSU Vice President of Research, Ybhg. Prof. Dr. Norfilza Mohd Mokhtar, highlighted the importance of research that supports policy and sustainability. Followed by the Rector of UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc, and the Dean of FEB UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Mursalim Nohong, SE, M.Si.

Plenary contributions from leading scholars set the tone for the conference, including (among others): Assoc. Prof. Bella Butler (Curtin University Perth, Australia), Prof. Dr. Lau Teck Chai (XJTLU Entrepreneur College Taicang, China), Assoc. Prof. Michael Cheah (Fordham University New York, US), Fitra Roman Cahaya, Ph.D. (University of Essex, UK), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mahmoud Kh. Mahmoud Al Msafir (University of Baghdad, Iraq), Prof. Dr. Zunirah Mohd Talib (MSU, Malaysia), and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Rajafi (IAIN, Manado). The sessions were facilitated by an experienced moderation team—Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazlina, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aza Azlina, both from MSU and Rakhmat Nurul Prima, S.E., M.Sc from FEB Unhas—ensuring focused discussion and audience engagement.

The afternoon transitioned to parallel sessions that began the presentation program for more than 100 authors, spanning completed studies, work-in-progress, and conceptual papers.

On day two, the conference expanded its parallel streams, continuing presentations by 380+ authors across accounting, management, and economics. Papers explored policy-relevant analyses of trade tensions and CBAM readiness, governance and transparency in organizations, digitalization for resilient business models, and blue-green pathways for sustainable supply chains and coastal economies.

The conference closed with acknowledgements to speakers, moderators, reviewers, and organizing committees from MSU and Unhas, reaffirming the event’s role as a regional platform that links scholarship, policy, and practice.
