Exploring Bangladesh: Unhas’s International Office Presents the G-Series Cultural Sharing Session
As part of Hasanuddin University’s (UNHAS) ongoing internationalization efforts, the International Office (IO) recently held its monthly event, the Geography Series (G-Series), featuring Bangladesh on Friday, 31 October 2025, at the Prof. Basri Hasanuddin, M.A. Hall, Doctoral Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).

The G-Series serves as a platform for UNHAS international students to introduce their home countries through PowerPoint presentations before the university’s academic community, particularly local students. The initiative aims to foster cross-cultural awareness and understanding while also giving local students the opportunity to practice their English communication skills.
This month’s presenter was Mr. Mohd Rozwan, an international student from Bangladesh currently studying Bahasa Indonesia as part of his one-year Partnership for Developing Country (KNB) Scholarship program. Mr. Rozwan began his presentation by playing his country’s national anthem and went on to share various aspects of Bangladeshi culture, including its traditions, cuisine, and unique customs.

To make the session more engaging, he also brought and served orange juice to the audience members who attended his presentation. Representing the IO, Ms. Harniaty (popularly known as Ms. Arni) presented a token of appreciation and merchandise to Mr. Rozwan for his enthusiastic participation and contribution. She expressed gratitude for his effort in introducing Bangladesh to an audience of approximately 80 students.
The event concluded with hopes that both international and local students would continue to actively participate in upcoming G-Series sessions, strengthening intercultural understanding and fostering a globally minded academic environment at Hasanuddin University.
