Exploring Jiangxi’s Heritage: Nanchang University Hosts Autumn Outing for International Students
On 8 November 2025, the School of International Education at Nanchang University organized an Autumn Outing for its international students, held at the Jiangxi Provincial Museum. A total of 45 students joined the program, including 2025 International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship awardees from Spain, Indonesia, and Egypt, participants of the 2+2 joint degree program with Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), Indonesia, and postgraduate students specializing in International Chinese Language Education. The activity was designed to offer students a direct cultural experience and enhance their understanding of Jiangxi’s historical heritage.

One of the highlights of the visit was a museum treasure hunt. Students were divided into teams and given images of artifacts to locate within the exhibition halls. While competing to complete the challenge, each group learned the historical background and cultural significance of the artifacts they discovered. The game encouraged active participation, critical thinking, and teamwork, transforming the museum visit into an exciting learning adventure.
The lively and competitive environment boosted students’ motivation to explore and made their museum experience both meaningful and unforgettable. Beyond expanding historical knowledge, the activity promoted strong interactions among students of diverse cultural backgrounds, strengthening friendships and fostering a spirit of cross-cultural exchange.
The Autumn Outing proved to be highly successful, leaving a positive impression on everyone involved. Through an innovative experiential learning approach, participants deepened their appreciation for Chinese culture while enjoying a collaborative and joyful atmosphere. The School of International Education looks forward to organizing more engaging programs in the future to further enrich students’ academic and cultural experiences.
