UNHAS Welcomes Monitoring and Evaluation Team for KNB Scholarship Implementation

Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), through its International Office (IO), welcomed the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) team from the Directorate of Institutional Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology on the 17th of October 2025. The visit focused on evaluating the implementation of the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) or Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship program at UNHAS.

  

Currently, UNHAS is home to 23 KNB awardees pursuing their undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees across various faculties. The Monev team consisted of four representatives, namely Mr. AA Sodikin, Ms. Armaeni, Ms. Risma Sari, and Mr. Udin. From UNHAS, the meeting involved several related units, including the International Office, the Directorate of Academic and Student Affairs, the Finance Office, and the Language Services Unit.

The Monev session continued with a presentation by Kumara Tungga Dewa, S.S., Mobility Program Staff of the IO UNHAS. His presentation highlighted the overall implementation and achievements of the KNB Scholarship program at UNHAS. Following the presentation, a question-and-answer session was held, during which the Monev team provided feedback and sought clarification on several aspects of the program’s execution.

The evaluation was divided into two main sessions. The first session involved discussions between the Monev team and UNHAS administrative staff, while the second session focused on direct engagement with the KNB awardees. The meeting with UNHAS representatives concluded before the Friday prayer, and the session with the scholarship awardees took place afterward. As a host university, UNHAS expressed its hope for a positive evaluation outcome, reflecting its commitment to maintaining high standards in managing international scholarship programs.
