UNHAS Holds FGD to Finalize KNB Scholarship Implementation Report
The International Office (IO) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) recently held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Finalizing the Implementation of the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship Report on Tuesday, 7 October 2025, at Meeting Room A, 7th Floor, Rectorate Building. The discussion brought together representatives from the IO, the Directorate of Academic and Student Affairs, and the Financial Department.

Representing the Head of IO, Muhammad Ridwan, M.A., who serves as the IO Secretary, delivered the opening remarks. In his address, Mr. Ridwan—affectionately known as Ridho—emphasized that the KNB Scholarship serves as an important gateway for international students to pursue higher education at UNHAS. He also encouraged all participants to actively exchange perspectives, ideas, best practices, and challenges experienced in the implementation of the scholarship program thus far.
The FGD continued under the facilitation of Kumara Tungga Dewa, S.S., IO Staff for Mobility Program. Mr. Dewa presented the report template that needs to be completed as part of the discussion. Furthermore, the FGD aimed to produce a comprehensive report to be submitted during the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) process scheduled for November. The report is expected to provide a holistic overview encompassing financial management, academic and non-academic achievements of awardees, as well as the challenges encountered by UNHAS staff as the host institution.
The discussion concluded with optimism and a shared commitment to finalize the report promptly before the arrival of the Monev team from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. The participants expressed hope that this collaborative effort would further strengthen UNHAS’s role as a key partner in advancing educational opportunities for international students through the KNB Scholarship program.
