International Office Highlights Global Engagement on UNHAS Day 2025

UNHAS Day (UD) is an annual event organised by the Directorate of Student Affairs, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS). This year, the event took place at the UNHAS Sport Centre, JK Arenatorium, on Saturday, 4 August 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. As in previous years, UD served as a platform to introduce various student unions and clubs, such as arts, sports, and reasoning. In addition, the Directorate also introduced several university units that provide essential services and benefits for students throughout their studies at UNHAS.

The International Office (IO) actively participated in the event to promote the university’s internationalisation program to new students. The IO presented information on its international programs, highlighted opportunities for student involvement, and introduced several international students who are currently studying at UNHAS. Through this initiative, new students were encouraged to explore global engagement and academic collaboration opportunities during their studies.

To add a cultural dimension, the IO booth showcased culinary and beverage specialities from India and Yemen, drawing attention and appreciation from participants. Additionally, visitors could also find displays featuring the IO Squad Team, IO Student Volunteers (Stuvo), and visual materials that captured the office’s activities and achievements.

Through its participation in UNHAS Day 2025, the IO reinforced the importance of international exposure for students and emphasised its role in supporting UNHAS’s vision of becoming a globally recognised institution.
