UNHAS Welcomes Yokohama City University to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

The International Office (IO) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) welcomed representatives from Yokohama City University (YCU), Yves Gendron and Yoshiko Ebisu from the Global Engagement Office, on Tuesday, 5 August 2025, at the IO Meeting Room. The visit began with the IO Tour in which Muhammad Ridwan (IO secretary) took the representatives to look around the images of IO activities for 2024 activities. The tour was joined by full IO squad team.

The delegation was warmly received by Andi Masyitha Irwan, Ph.D., Head of IO, accompanied by other IO staff. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for student exchanges between the two institutions. Mr. Yves presented a list of courses available for UNHAS students who wish to join the exchange program at YCU.

This information proved especially valuable, as participation in the exchange program has so far been limited to Nursing students. With the new opportunities discussed, the potential to involve students from various fields became a promising prospect.The discussion was highly productive, opening doors for broader implementation of the cooperation agreement between UNHAS and YCU. The visit concluded with a photo session to commemorate the occasion.
