Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., welcomed the visit of the Canadian Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste, H.E Nadia Burger. The meeting was conducted in the Rector’s Room, UNHAS Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Thursday (01/12).
On this occasion, Prof. Jamal explained the achievements of UNHAS in various fields. He said that as a university, UNHAS is committed to continuously improving quality, and it has been the university’s spirit since its establishment in 1956. Furthermore, as one of the most significant state universities with numerous achievements, various strategic steps continue to be optimized by expanding partnerships with a wide range of partners.
H.E Nadia Burger appreciated the accomplishments that UNHAS had achieved. The ambassador also mentioned the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Canada, including the education sector. The Rector of UNHAS and the Canadian Ambassador at this event discussed many partnership opportunities. H.E Nadia Burger also gave a public lecture entitled “Canada Today: The People and The Future,” which generally provided an overview of Indonesia-Canada bilateral relations.
