The International Office (KUI) of Hasanuddin University, held a seminar entitled “The Secret Recipe of Good Essay and Excellent Interview for US Scholarship with EducationUSA” in the Senate Room, Second Floor of the Unhas Rectorate, Tuesday (4/10).
This seminar aims to provide tips and tricks for making essays and undergoing the interview process when applying for scholarships to the United States (US) to lecturers and students.
The implementation of the activity was divided into two sessions, where the first session was attended by 25 lecturers and the second session was attended by 125 students.
Guided by Andi Nur Rizqi R Syam (KUI Student Volunteer), this activity presented EducationUSA Advisor, Cendhani Budi as the speaker.
Opening the activity, the Head of the Unhas International Affairs Office, Andi Masyitha Irwan PhD, said that this kind of activity is planned to be held every year. “If the interest of the participants in this activity is large, we plan to hold it every year,” she concluded.
On the other hand, Cendhani on his occasion said that the most important thing in making an essay is to understand well the instructions given by the scholarship organizer. “Read the instruction, that’s the key to success,” he said.
She also said that an essay can be said to be good if it has a good flow, makes sense, and does not sound cliché. As for the interview, preparation for all possible questions and self-confidence are the most important things.
In the end, Cendhani invited students to utilize the free services provided by EducationUSA to consult about preparing for overseas scholarship selection.
