The faculty of Nursing of Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Indonesia and Niigata University of Health and Welfare, Japan agreed to cooperate in the field of tri-dharma development. The agreement was contained in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Dean of Nursing Faculty of Unhas (Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kep., M.Si) and the Dean of Nursing Niigata University (Yuko Uda). The activity was established on Monday (10/10) at Niigata University, Japan.

In an interview on Wednesday (12/10), Dr. Ariyanti Saleh said that Nursing Faculty optimally try to increase cooperation with various potential partners. These strategic efforts are carried out as a form of the faculty’s commitment to supporting Unhas to achieve a World Class University (WCU) level as well as a means of developing the quality of student learning.

“The cooperation is generally about tri dharma (three pillars include education, research, and community service), where we will conduct research collaborations, student exchanges, visiting professors and various other academic activities. As one of the faculties in Unhas, Nursing Faculty continues to move up to support various university strategic programs including WCU, we expand partners not only at the national but also at the international level. The hope is that we can increase the number of partners and also it will Unhas’s have an impact on academic quality, “explained Dr. Ariyanti.

Niigata University of Health and Welfare was established in 2001, with six faculties and 13 departments. This campus has a passion for producing healthcare professionals who can help and enrich the quality of life of people through a comprehensive healthcare system in Japan and around the world.

In general, the faculty continues to expand partnerships with various parties. In addition to partnering with higher education in Japan, the Faculty also collaborates with industry partners such as Kaikoukai Healthcare Group which is a Japanese global company in the healthcare industry.
