27 UNHAS Medical Students Join Global Community Service Program in Japan
A total of 27 students from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) have officially departed for Japan to participate in Kuliah Keja Nyata (KKN) or Community Service Program for the July–August 2025 period. This initiative is part of the faculty’s internationalization agenda, aimed at broadening students’ academic and professional perspectives on a global scale.
During the program, the students will engage in a series of activities hosted by three prestigious institutions in Japan: Niigata University, Toyama University, and the Nagoya Kaikoukai Healthcare Group. The program is designed to provide students with firsthand experience in understanding Japan’s healthcare system, while also enriching their knowledge in health-related fields, particularly community medicine.
Beyond its academic value, this international KKN program also serves to strengthen the Faculty of Medicine’s collaboration with its international partners, especially those in Japan. With a spirit of global learning, the students are expected to make the most of this opportunity and return home with new insights and valuable experiences.
