Three Physiotherapy Students from the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, won 3rd place at the 2021 Physiotherapy Student Scientific Week (PIMAF) in the Call for Paper competition. The outstanding physiotherapy students are a team consisting of three people including: Anggun Indah Lestari, Meilani, and Akram Ibnu Syawal. The title of the paper that the three presented was “BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL APPROACH: Modern Intervention Strategies for Low Back Pain Patients Associated with Burnout Syndrome”.

Anggun who was interviewed on Sunday (20/6) revealed that the selection of the title was in accordance with the theme held by the organizers, namely GOVETASTIPHY (Good Move and Fantastic Action With Physiotherapist). “In our opinion, a good essay is not only based on the theme of the competition, it must also be based on current issues that are in accordance with facts and data. Arguments in essays should not be subjective to the author, but also look at previous research,” said Anggun.

PIMAF is an online activity held by the Indonesian Physiotherapy Student Association (IMFI) through Zoom Meetings. The three decided to take part in this competition after receiving writing training from the Special Pisiform Agency (Physiotherapy Scientific Forum). “Everything is online, from idea discussion to drafting. Alhamdulillah, our announcement of stage 1 has passed to the presentation stage. In stage 2 we got a lot of suggestions and directions from senior brothers regarding presentations. Finally, when the announcement was made, we won 3rd place,” he explained.

Regarding interests and talents in the field of research, Anggun hopes that Unhas students, especially the Faculty of Nursing, will continue to develop their knowledge and actively participate in competitions. Because according to him, competing is not only about winning and bringing the good name of Unhas, but also to increase student experience.
