On Tuesday, October 20 at 09.00-11.30 at the Batua Health Center, community service activities have been going on for community service in the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. This community service activity is a series of activities for the 3rd Anniversary of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas and is an annual routine held by the Nursing Maternity section.
For the implementation of 2020, the theme raised is related to the COVID-19 pandemic that is currently sweeping the world. In collaboration with the Batua Puskesmas which also has a class for pregnant women, and the lecturers from the Maternity Nursing Section consisting of Nurmaulid, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep, Dr Erfina, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep and Mulhaeriah, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.Mat, provided health education for pregnant women who attended the class with the topic “Preparing for childbirth safe during the COVID-19 epidemic. ”
This topic was chosen because in previous research conducted by the Nursing Department of the Unhas Faculty of Nursing, it was found that many pregnant women expressed concerns regarding their childbirth in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, where the spread rate is still quite high. After delivering the material, the activity was continued with a question and answer discussion. The participants seemed enthusiastic and asked that similar activities be carried out on different topics.
