On Monday, 9 September 2019, the Faculty of Nursing Hasanuddin University had a guest from the University of Applied Science Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Annete Martens. Anette was welcomed by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships, Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN, Ph.D at Meeting Room Faculty of Nursing Hasanuddin University. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Research, Innovation and Partnership Team, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University Medical Faculty, Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep., Ns., MAN, Ph.D, Chair of the FKH Unhas Physiotherapy Study Program, Dr. Djohan Aras, S.Ft., Physio, M.Pd., M.Kes., And lecturers of  Physiotherapy Study Program, Faculty of Nursing Hasanuddin University. The purpose of Anette’s visit was to explore the possibility of collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing of Hasanuddin University and the UAS Amsterdam in terms of education, student and lecturer exchanges, research and other forms of potential collaboration. This was motivated by Anette’s activities in Makassar, where Anette initiated the Somoi Makassar Foundation which is engaged in the empowerment of children with disabilities in Makassar. Through this collaboration, Anette hoped students from the Faculty of Nursing Unhas and UAS Amsterdam could learn together about the empowerment of children with disabilities in Makassar City. The purpose of Anette’s visit was welcomed by the Faculty of Nursing of Hasanuddin University and will be followed up to make a memorandum of understanding between the Faculty of Nursing Hasanuddin University and UAS Amsterdam which regulates in more detail about the forms of collaboration that will be undertaken by both parties.
