In collaboration with the Indonesian Disaster Emergency Care Association (HIPGABI) of South Sulawesi, the Nursing Science Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (PSIK-FK Unhas), held Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) training for all lecturers as an effort to improve nursing skills in achieving The Vision of the Study Program to produce qualified nurse graduates is also one of the follow-up actions from the Recommendation of the ASIIN International Accreditation Board in improving HR competencies.
This activity was held from 23 to 27 July 2019 at the Faculty of Nursing, 5th Floor FK Building, with 30 participants consisting of: 26 FKIK Unhas PSIK lecturers, 1 FKIK Unhas PSIK laboratory assistant, and 3 Clinical Preceptors (2 from the Hospital Unhas and 1 Puskesmas). The training was opened by Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Sc. as Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. Training activities include classroom learning, simulation, demonstration, direct practice, and evaluation through written test and practice. In addition, this training is also expected to contribute to the development of an Integrated Emergency Service System in South Sulawesi specifically in the city of Makassar in handling emergency and disaster cases.
