Every year, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education allocates research and community services grants to lecturers from all universities in Indonesia, both public and private. The research and community service grants are competitive and divided into several research and community service schemes.
This year, a total of 2 research teams from the Faculty of Nursing were able to get the competitive grant for the Basic Research category. The first team was chaired by Andi Masyitha Irwan, S. Kep., Ns., MAN, Ph.D. entitled “Development of self-care maintenance sensing systems among post-stroke patients in the community setting”. This research is a follow-up study of the previous year which received the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education grants. This research is in collaboration with Kanazawa University, Japan and planned to be conducted for 3 years.
The second team that managed to get the grant was a team chaired by Syahrul, S. Kep., Ns., M.Sc., Ph.D. with the title “Effect of Physical Exercise Program on Bone Density of High School Students in Makassar City”. This research is planned to be conducted for 2 years.
In addition to research, one community service team from the Faculty of Nursing also managed to get the grant from the Community Partnership Service scheme. The team is chaired by Arnis Puspitha R, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., entitled “Family Empowerment in the Care of Tuberculosis Patients in the Paccerakkang Village of Makassar City”.
