The International Office (IO) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) made a significant impact at UNHAS Day, an event hosted by the Directorate of Students Affairs on Thursday, August 15th, 2024. Alongside around 40 student clubs and support units, the IO presented its diverse range of program activities aimed at fostering internationalization on campus. The event, held at the JK Arenatorium, served as an excellent platform for introducing new students to the various opportunities and initiatives offered by the IO.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the IO booth, visitors were welcomed with a vibrant display that included statistical data about UNHAS, numerous photos showcasing the IO’s past activities, and an engaging Instagram (IG) Photo booth. These elements were designed to capture the interest of the new students and provide them with a glimpse into the global reach and impact of the IO\u2019s work. The booth was staffed by enthusiastic IO Student Volunteers and international students, who were on hand to answer questions and share their experiences, making the booth a hub of curiosity and interaction. The visitors were offered the IO various merchandise given to those who could answer the questions related to student volunteers at the IO, the Indonesian International Students Mobility Awards (IISMA) and the IO program activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The participation of the IO in UNHAS Day highlights its commitment to promoting internationalization and connecting with the university’s newest members. By engaging with new students, the IO not only introduced its programs but also inspired many people to consider the global opportunities available through Hasanuddin University. This event underscores the importance of international collaboration and the role that the IO plays in broadening the horizons of the UNHAS student community.<\/span><\/p>\n
