Universitas Hasanuddin and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pahang Malaysia Collaborate on Three Main Responsibilities (Tridharma) of Higher Education

Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), together with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pahang Malaysia, agreed to cooperate in the field of developing the three main responsibilities of higher education.

The agreement was stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Rector of Unhas (Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, MA) and Rector of UiTM Pahang (Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Ilham bin Adenan). The MoU signing ceremony took place virtually through the Cisco Webex application at 09.30 WITA on Tuesday (27/10).

The Rector of UiTM Pahang, Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Ilham bin Adenan, said that the signing of the MoU was intended to improve the partnership between the two parties, especially in the fields of academic development, training, and student and lecturer exchanges as the implementation of the student mobility program which is expected to improve good relations between the two universities.

“We will continue to improve the partnership in order to create a mechanism, encourage a wider collaboration network, and seek opportunities that can be done together,” explained Prof Ilham

On the same occasion, the Rector of Unhas, Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, MA., espressed her gratitude to the UiTM for the trust given to Unhas to establish a collaboration network in terms of education quality improvement. According to her, the collaboration is very strategic for both parties. She warmly welcomed the collaboration.

“Unhas has transformed into State Universities with Legal-Entity (PTN-BH), making Unhas a full-autonomous university in terms of Institutional management. Even though Unhas is under the authority of the Indonesian Government but Unhas has independency and flexibility in establishing collaboration with various parties,” said Prof. Dwia

At the end of remarks, Prof Dwia expressed her expectation that the collaboration can be realized to encourage and produce excellent and competitive Human Resource.

The MoU signing ceremony ran smoothly until 10.30 WIT. (* / Mir)
